If you can read Japanese, please let others know what this item is actually for!
With the exception of the name "Dia Kirex Diamond Sharpener", all other text, including instructions, is in Japanese. I don't speak or read Japanese, so I have to assume that this implement is indeed a ceramic knife sharpener. HOWEVER...
The picture on the front of the box shows a STEEL knife being sharpened. That doesn't exactly inspire confidence that this sharpener is actually for ceramic knives. (You can't use a steel knife sharpener to sharpen a ceramic knife.)
Note that the product description says, "MIU France has been in development for three years with Japanese engineers to produce the only knife sharpener designed specifically for ceramic knives." Wow! 3 whole years! So the main selling point is that this knife sharpener was specifically designed for ceramic knives, right?
Well, slow down there, Sparky. The product description also says, "Although this sharpener can sharpen your steel knives, for best results we recommend this...
Useless
Just like the other reviewers said, the instructions are not in English and didn't sharpen my knife, maybe made it worse. Don't waste your money.
Instructions in English please
Received sharpener but the instructions included not in english. Tried to get instuctions from MIU France in english with no luck. I used it and it didn't work to well, maybe I have used it incorrectly since it did not come with instructions in english. Could work good but without instructions in english, might have been a waste of money. Can Amazon help? Please advise. Thankyou. Robert L Meyer
