Worked great for an occasional use...until battery pack died.
Got this opener for a gift. After about a year and maybe 20 - 25 bottles later the battery pack went dead. I think it may have died due to overcharging as a result of little use and to much time on the charger stand. The manual has no provisions for ordering a new battery pack but they do have instructions for discarding the unit which include removing and properly disposing the batteries. If you are up to a little soldering (2 wires), a replacement pack can be purchased from Amazon for about $16 (about $7 less than a new unit). My overall rating was 1 star due to the short battery life.
