Not happy with this product.
I received this toaster for Christmas 2012, it worked OK for about 5 months then became more difficult to adjust the level of toast color. Now the lever that you push down to lower the bread has to be held manually to operate. Just checked the return or repair options at Bodum and am unable to reach them because of Columbus day holiday. Reading the return/repair options looks like I will be out of luck since it was a gift and I dont have the receipt. Will post again as to the outcome. 10/23/2013, Just after my original post, I was able to contact Bodum. They sent me a new Toaster very promptly and explained that since my toaster was a gift and I did not have a receipt, that the replacement toaster would not be covered by warranty. I mentioned to the customer service rep (very nice and helpful I might add) that I had read several reviews that had toasters with the same problem as mine.
