actually it was the soup recipe that sold us on this, two pulses and you have soup that is warm enough to eat
Great size for most people
I think the four side jar is plenty of capacity for 1-2 people, and is very versatile. The designer series looks great sitting on the counter top full time. I've used mine over 168 times (there is a counter) and love it for everything from the common smoothes and shakes to making flour out of various grains (quinoa, rice, tapioca), and also have made hummus with freshly ground tahini from sesame seeds.
