Piece of junk. have had 5-6 fryers over the last 40+ years of cooking. Untill now never had one without a hinged lid or hinged handle to raise and lower the basket. Very dificult to store because of the handle, after the third use I found the perfect storage place "the dumpster". will order a name brand soon.
Great While It Lasted
I bought this from another department store on Black Friday 2010, and it was great while it lasted. It was the right size for a single person, and I liked the basket and different temperature options. It would fry a basket of fries nice and crispy. However, here it is March, and I was prepared to fry up some fries today. It would not turn on. I unplugged it and plugged it back up. It still didn't do anything. The grease never got hot, and the little light on the side never came on. Fortunately, I got a great price back on Black Friday. So, no big deal. I got my money's worth. Still, I would not shell out any big money on this brand. From reading the other reviews, this product is not made to last very long.
Love it!
This deep fryer is perfect for what I intended. It's a little smaller than I expected, but perfect for side dishes for my husband and myself. Love love love it!
